The wavy edge of this white ceramic pendant borrows its shape from an open flower. Fine ribs run down the body, and they only really show once the light is on, throwing soft shadows across the wall behind. The look is retro without being fussy, which is why it works over a dining table as readily as beside a bed. Matte ceramic spreads a warm, even light instead of a hard one, the kind of light a room settles into after dark.
