1960s stained glass ceiling light, lit glasswork at the centre of the room

The draw here is the leaded glass. Panels of navy, coral red and warm yellow sit in a radiating floral pattern, so the light comes through coloured and broken up rather than flat. It measures 50cm across and runs three lamps, which is enough for a dining room or a lounge without leaving the corners dim. The metal frame gives it real weight, and you notice that when you lift it. LED bulbs work fine in it. Fitting is quick. Hung over a table it does most of the decorating in that part of the room on its own, and the colours read differently depending on whether it is lit or simply catching the daylight.
